Introduce a little art history- lesson plan
We learned about famous artist Georgia O'keeffe, reading this book. 
Student's learned about drawing BIG and off the paper. 
Space, shape, and line drawing were introduced for this art project.

Hide, Seek and Adore...

painted rocks.
Here seems to be an epidemic spreading around Washington State.
People are painting and randomly hiding rocks for others to seek...
such an inspiring movement. 
There are groups online through FB: I am participate in the following. So much fun!

Altered Tea-bags

art project.

materials needed:
tea bag
poly-fill
stapler 
paints (acrylic)
stamps
collage elements
baker's twine 

process:
1. Collect "used" tea-bags.
2. Carefully remove the staple, shake out tea leaves/herbs, and once emptied- lay out to dry. 
3. Paint, stamp, draw, collage, and be creative with the tea bags. 
4. Cut pieces of baker's twine for the tiny tea tag- create your own. 
5. Fill with poly-fill.
6. Fold at top, be sure to tuck in twine its tag, then staple shut.
